About

Built by people who've actually run a nonprofit.

Hope for Everybody exists because of a hard lesson learned over 20 years: nonprofits don't know what they don't know -- and it costs them money, man-hours, and mission.

Chandler's story

Twenty years in the trenches.

Chandler Fosard founded Hope Prison Ministries and has spent the last two decades running it -- raising funds, writing grants, managing programs, filing the 990s, and making payroll on donation income. Not consulting about nonprofit life. Living it.

““What I've learned in 20 years of running a nonprofit is that nonprofits do not know what we do not know. And it hurts us. It costs us money. It costs us man-hours.””

Along the way, he learned what most nonprofit founders learn the hard way: the mission is only half the job. The other half is fundraising, branding, websites, social media, donor management, events, and books -- skills nobody teaches you when you answer a calling to serve.

Hope for Everybody was built to be the partner Chandler wishes he'd had in year one: honest advice and professional execution from people who have sat in the founder's chair, sweated the payroll, and celebrated the grant award.

And there's a second piece: foundations increasingly want to fund nonprofits that communicate and collaborate with each other. That's why we also built HopeForEverybody.org -- a platform where nonprofits connect, share what works, and grow together. What we believe

The convictions behind the work

Missions deserve professional tools

The organizations doing the hardest work -- feeding people, housing people, walking with people out of prison -- shouldn't have the most amateur marketing. Excellence in presentation honors the mission.

Honesty over sales

We'd rather tell you a service won't help than sell it to you. A nonprofit's dollars are donated dollars -- wasting them isn't just bad business, it's a breach of trust.

Collaboration multiplies impact

Nonprofits that communicate and collaborate raise more money and serve more people. Funders know it, we've lived it, and we built a platform around it.
